Fort Wayne, Ind.—Do it Best Corp. recently presented its Vendor of the Year awards, and bestowed its first-ever Member Excellence Awards, at the co-op’s Member & Vendor Excellence Breakfast at the 2008 Do it Best October MarketSM in Indianapolis on October 12.
Member Excellence Awards
Do it Best Corp. president and CEO Bob Taylor, and executive vice president and COO Dave Haist presented two members with Member Excellence Awards, honoring their extraordinary accomplishments:
- Imperial Hardware Company, based in Holtville, Calif., a family-run business celebrating 100 years of excellence and customer service.
- Indufesa Do it Center®, located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, which changed the face of hardware stores in Honduras by introducing the country’s first do-it-yourself hardware store.
“It has been a pleasure to work with these exceptional entrepreneurs, and we applaud the successes their businesses are experiencing,” said Taylor. “We look forward to recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of other Do it Best Corp. members in the years to come.”
Vendor Excellence Awards
Do it Best Corp. presented three overall awards to exceptional vendors for outstanding products and services, annual sales growth, and for collaborative forecasting and replenishment. IRWIN Industrial Tools was selected as the Outstanding Products & Services Vendor of the Year, and 3-G’s / PrimeSource received the Overall Sales Growth Vendor of the Year Award. Rust-Oleum received the Collaborative Forecasting and Replenishment Award.
